The iLamp system is a multifunctional lighting pole that integrates LED lighting, a 360-degree solar array, and battery storage. This configuration allows it to generate and store electricity autonomously, eliminating the need for a conventional grid connection. Additionally, the platform offers edge-computing capabilities, which means that data generated by equipment on the pole can be processed locally, reducing the need for centralized data processing.
Upon installation, the pilot system will undergo a thorough evaluation based on specific technical and operational criteria established for the project. IEC will use these results to determine whether to pursue further deployment.
