Kaylee Hottle, the 18-year-old actress renowned for her role as Jia in the MonsterVerse films such as Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has tragically passed away following a car accident in Maryland. The Texas School for the Deaf confirmed her passing and extended their heartfelt sympathies to her family, friends, classmates, and the broader community who cherished her.

The fatal incident occurred early on a Tuesday morning in Frederick, Maryland. Local law enforcement reported that the crash involved a 1995 Honda Accord, which veered off the road and collided with a culvert. Investigators have pointed to excessive speed as a likely contributing factor in the accident.

Hottle was a passenger in the vehicle and was transported to a nearby trauma center, where she was subsequently pronounced dead. The driver, aged 19, survived the crash with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening, while another passenger opted not to seek medical attention.
